Treatment
Target Readership: My magazine is going to be aimed at people aged 15-24 year olds. I think this is a suitable target audience because my music magazine is based on new music and this age group is most likely to listen to the music that my magazine covers. My magazine is going to be priced between 1 and 3 pounds.I have decided to try and keep the cost of my magazine low because the target audience are mainly students and might not have a lot of money or rely on finance from their parents. this magazine is going to be for those who are really into music and want to keep up to date with all the latest releases and to hits.
Form And Style: My magazine is going to look very informal with mainly san serif fonts. I think this will font in my age group well because teenagers are stereotypically lazy and scruffy.

Research And Planning; Music Magazine Moodboard
This is a mood board to give a brief idea of what my magazine could look like with a mixture of bright and dark colours.
Research and Planning, Initial Ideas For Music Magazine
My magazine is going to be based on new music that is in the UK charts at the moment. My magazine will be published weekly, I have decided to publish it weekly so it keeps up to date with the new to 40 chart each week.
My magazine will feature interviews from the top artists such as; David Guetta, Flo Rida, Rizzle Kicks and many more. My magazine will also feature music reviews, new bands, competitions and free give aways.
For the colour scheme on my magazine I want to use a mixture of bright vibrant colours and dark colours to really draw peoples attention to my magazine. The colour scheme will change slightly each week so it doesn't become boring.
The target audience for my magazine is going to be 15 to 25 I think this is a suitable target audience because this is student age and lots of students listen to new chart music at this age.

Evaluation of Student Magazine
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your product and why?
A magazine store might distribute my student magazine because that’s what they do.
4. Who would be the audience of your media product?
The audience for my student magazine would be students age from 16-20 because they will still be in education and that’s who it’s aimed at.
5. How did you attract/address your audience?
6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
While creating the front cover and contents page for my student magazine I learnt how to use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
